DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. -- A Stone Mountain man was arrested last week and charged with aggravated assault in a recent shooting on Interstate 20.

Justin Savage is accused of shooting at a car May 13 on I-20 west near Candler Road. Two adults and two children were in the car. Window glass from one of the shots shattered and hurt a 2 year old.

Savage, 23, was arrested May 15 at his home. Police recovered a .40 caliber handgun in the house.

"This kind of reckless conduct put the lives of innocent people at risk and will not be tolerated here in DeKalb County," Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Public Safety Dr. Cedric Alexander said in a statement.

Police said the shooting was a road rage incident.
