DINNERS ON A DIME: Real Southern Bar-B-Que

EMORY, Ga. – This week, Dinners on a Dime features the best in local BBQ. Every Tuesday Where U Live chooses four favorite eats in your area for you to take your family and friends for a fabulous meal for a price that’s economically feasible in today’s economy.

Voted best BBQ in Atlanta by Creative Loafing, Food Network, USA Today, New York Times, Atlanta Magazine, The AJC and Rolling Stones Magazine Daddy D’z is a classic BBQ “joint” that plays live blues and serves your meats just how you like them. And don’t forget to try the Mozzarella Cheese Sticks, they’re served with ranch dressing and are “to die for” according to some. Check them out at 264 Memorial Drive in Atlanta.

According to some, Jim and Nick’s BBQ is typical chain barbecue but according to others, it’s the best in town. The restaurant serves up the best fried catfish and isn’t too shabby when it comes to the fixings.

35 And Ticking Starring Kevin Hart Showing in Select Theaters

Filmmaker Russ Parr holds down a day job as a syndicated radio host and is continuing to stretch his talents behind the lens with his new movie "35 & Ticking'.

“35 & Ticking” centers around the lives of Victoria, Zenobia , Clevon, and Phil -- all friends approaching the age of 35 and struggling to build the families they've always dreamed of. While Zenobia (Nicole Ari Parker, “Soul Food,” “Brown Sugar”) is still looking for a man, Victoria (Tamala Jones, “Castle,” “One on One”) is married to a man who doesn't want children. Clevon (Kevin Hart, “Not Easily Broken,” “40 Year-Old Virgin”), meanwhile, is too geeky to get a woman, and Phil (Keith Robinson, “Dreamgirls”) is already married with children, but his wife is not very interested in being a mother. All four of them try to rectify their romantic lives and futures while their biological clocks tick away.
