The Ken Ford Foundation takes the stage again at The Porter Sanford III Performing Arts Center on March 12, 2011 in a fundraiser to benefit music education.  The concert, highlighting the importance of arts and music education in our schools, will host VIP guests beginning at 6:30pm with a reception featuring

Stone Mountain, GA--  (submitted by City of Stone Mountain) The Art Micro-Enterprise project is a unique economic revitalization partnership effort between DeKalb County and the City of Stone Mountain to attract visitors, tourists, and citizens to the downtown commercial district.  This project will promote business ownership and economic viability with the City providing the participants with technical and financial assistance with business development. 

The City’s focus for this program will be in the “Arts”.

Joyful Noise is the latest film to be here in Atlanta filming and looking for extras.  Joyful Noise is by the producers of The Blind Side and stars Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton, along with other film, TV and broadway stars.  The casting directors are offering free ticketrs to a Gospel Choir Concert scene taking place in the Atlanta Civic Center in Downtown Atlanta.

Atlanta, GA--  As many know Atlanta is home to some amazing voices! It’s also commonly known as a city that hosts some of the musics biggest award shows, so it’s no wonder The Gospel Music Association (GMA) chose the historic Fox Theatreto hold the 42nd Annual GMA Dove Awards in Atlanta on April 20, 2011. Got Ink? An Interview With Songwriter and Two-Time Grammy Nominee Cri$tyle

New year, new segment. As part of our commitment to always bring you stories, articles, and inspirational thoughts that help you lead a happy and positive life, we will occasionally be posting interviews from people who have persevered in the face of adversity and lead extraordinary lives. Today's interview is about Cristyle Johnson.

Cristyle Johnson or sometimes credited as Cri$tyle is an amazing female producer, artist, and songwriter signed with So So Def/EMI Music. She was born and raised in Decatur , Georgia and wrote her first song at the age of ten. Cristyle received  this year two 2011 Grammy nominations for  Rihanna's "Only Girl"( Best dance record) and Monica's "Love All Over Me" (Best RnB album). Both records were #1 on the charts in 2010. In addition to writing those songs, she also has written #1 records on Mariah Carey and Natasha Bedingfield!  As if that isn't enough, she's written songs for Beyonce, Jennifer Lopez , Brandy, Janet Jackson, Jennifer Hudson, Mary J Blige and many more.
