Chicago born, Arkansas Raised Indie Soul Artist Looking to Express Her Talent Finds Her Niche in Theater

Tiffany Roberts is many things to many people: daughter, sister, aunt, friend, wife and mother. Like many women with that level of support uplifting her, Roberts has created an opportunity to turn her talent and passion into an entrepreneurial win. After being laid off in December 2010, Tiffany took a leap of faith and launched her company, Simply Tiffany Soul (www.simplytiffanysoul.com); a platform for her theatrical expressions and a will soon help catapult underground Indie artists in reaching their full potential within the entertainment industry. Following her dreams and aspirations is a fire that just keeps growing inside of her and she wants to share that spark with others that share the same passion. Her goal is to give new artists the tools needed to be successful without as many stumbling blocks as she has had to overcome. This, in essence, is the surefire recipe for success in any economy.

Having enjoyed six years as a soul artist with an EP; Essence of Love, and album; Simply Me and several singles under her belt Tiffany has now joined the realm of theatrical writer and director. The Mistress Club, a sizzling new hit stage play written and directed by Roberts, in association with Mark Squared Productions, Inc., is her first self-made theatrical debut. The Mistress Club is a riveting story of love, money, deceit and redemption surrounding a sexy collage of women who are elite members of an organization (The Mistress Club) where they feel free to share the intimate details of their exploits. The women of The Mistress Club, headed by Delilah—one of the most successful mistresses in the business, are in for a shock when Delilah’s secrets catch up to her and may even be fatal. These ladies will take you on a roller coaster ride of emotions and have audiences intrigued while singing along to soulful R & B and tapping their feet to true “down home blues.” This raw, uncut play is definitely for the mature audience with real-life, relatable experiences.

The journey from dreamer to playwright has been a unique one. “You have to leap and embrace your destiny”, says Roberts, “even though it is right in front of you, sometimes its not in arms reach so you have to get on that ledge and look up and JUMP.” She will see the tangible fruits of her labor as Atlanta welcomes the debut of her first stage-play on Saturday, July 23, 2011; 8:00 pm at the Roswell Cultural Arts Center (950 Forest Street, Roswell, GA 30075) with a repeat performance on Sunday, July 24, 2011 at 7:00 pm. Post-production, music and monologues will soon be available on CD, DVD and iTunes.
