Public Meetings wil be Held in January RE: Dekalb School Redistricting Plans | Politics
Stone Mountain, GA-- (submitted by Cohn Wolfe)
On Dec. 6, 2010, the DeKalb County School System Board of Education presented its timeline for the 2020 Vision: 2011-2012 Redistricting and Consolidation Plan. A key milestone of the timeline is the Community Workshop and Public Input meetings.
These meetings will be held throughout the month of January at various schools throughout DeKalb County.
- January 11, 2011 - Miller Grove High School, 6:30 pm
- January 13, 2011 - Chamblee High School, 6:30 pm
- January 18, 2011 - McNair High School, 6:30 pm
- January 20, 2011 - Stone Mountain Middle School, 6:30 pm
The 2020 Vision is a comprehensive process that will culminate in a 2020 Master Plan that will describe the facilities, programs and other needs of the school system over the next ten years and the recommended facility improvements required to meet these needs.
Developing a consensus on creating a vision for the DeKalb County School System in 2020 requires an involved process with a broad base of public input to be successful. We hope you will join us and we look forward to your participation.
