Last Week of Early Voting. Polls Have Extended Hours | Politics

Atlanta, GA-- In an effort to increase voter turnout in DeKalb County, Chief Executive Officer Burrell Ellis and Board of Commissioners Presiding Officer Larry Johnson announced that the Elections Office will be openfor extended hours.
During Advance Voting week only, Oct. 25-29, four additional sites with extended hours of 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. will be offered to DeKalb County voters. Locations in addition to the Memorial Drive Main Office for that week are:

330 West Ponce de Leon Ave., Room A
Decatur
DeKalb County Fire Headquarters
1950 West Exchange Place
Tucker (Northlake area)
Chamblee Civic Center
3540 Broad St., Chamblee
Porter Sanford Performing Arts Center
3181 Rainbow Dr., Decatur
The unprecedented Saturday voting is part of the Vote DeKalb initiative, a non-partisan early voting campaign. The purpose of Vote DeKalb is to encourage voters to cast ballots prior to the Nov. 2 General Election.
