Health

Atlanta, GA--  Pink! The Color of Life, in partnership with the Susan G. Komen Foundation, invites you to walk for the cure Saturday, October 16, 2010 at 9:00 am in Stone Mountain Park.

Over 300 adults and children are expected for this 5k walk which will help raise awareness for breast cancer research.  This year’s event offers prizes for the first and second place fund raiser—first place fundraiser wins the choice of a $75 gift card or mystery gift, valued at $150.  Second place fundraiser wins a $50 gift card.  All participants will receive a free T-shirt and one free gym workout at Athleader.

Athleader, a health and fitness studio based in Stone Mountain, GA, leads this effort for women’s health by offering a challenge to local individuals to take part in the upcoming event by registering to walk and donate the registration fee towards the effort.  This year there are two ways to donate:  log on to www.athleader.com to donate funds via the Athleader secure online portal, or stop by the fitness studio at 375 North    Deshon Road, Stone Mountain, GA 30087 to drop off your donation.

There’s still time for individual walkers and teams to sign up.  The walk will begin at the intersection of Robert E. Lee Boulevard and Old Highway 78 and will conclude with a refreshment mixer at the finish line.
