Gwinnett Residents: Beware! The following e-mail is a hoax. Gwinnett Co. Sheriff's Dept. PIO, Stacey Bourbonnais stated in an e-mail sent to 11Alive, "It {this email} is not true. This is something that is being circulated on the web that is completely false." The entire email is below. Again, do need heed this warning; this e-mail is a untrue.

Gwinnett County Police Asking for Help to Identify Serial Robber

Gwinnet County Police are asking for your help in identifying a band robber that has targeted multiple banks in the Atlanta area.  

On August 10th, 2010, the SunTrust Bank at 6095 Peachtree Industrial Boulevard in Gwinnett County was robbed. At approximately 1:00 PM, a suspect entered the bank and approached a teller. Producing a note for her to see, he indicated that he was armed with a gun and there to rob the bank. After receiving an undisclosed amount of money, the suspect fled the scene on foot.

In Forsyth County, on September 7th, 2010, the same suspect robbed a Wachovia Bank using the same method however, this time; the suspect fled the scene in four-door small truck with dark tinted windows.  

On September 23rd, 2010, the Regions Bank at 3285 Satellite Boulevard in Gwinnett County was robbed. During the course of this robbery, the suspect became frustrated and fled the scene, unsuccessful in his robbery attempt.

Battle of Atlanta Dog Competition Sponsored by US K9 Group is Saturday Oct. 16th

Atlanta, GA--  USk9 group is a professional organization of dog trainers that specialize in the area of personal protection.

Dogs are no doubt one of the oldest and most trusted forms of personal protection known to mankind. The US K9Group educates individuals on how to properly train their dogs and what a properly trained dog can do to protect the owner and his/her property.

On Saturday, October 16th the K9 Group will be holding its annual Battle of Atlanta Dog Competition at Henderson Park in Stone Mountain, and invites everyone including families to come out and see the dogs and their special skills.  The group wants people to know that there are alternatives to handguns in the home for personal protection, and encourages people to take part in the celebration this Saturday.

Kaiser Permanente Kicks Off Fall Influenza Campaign

Atlanta, GA (Kaiser Permanente of Georgia) -- On October 9th, Kaiser Permanente of Georgia will kick off its fall influenza campaign by offering flu shots at no charge to its members in metro Atlanta on Flu Shot Saturday.

The flu shots will be given on a first come, first served basis at select Kaiser Permanente locations from 9 a.m.–1 p.m. Non-members who are caregivers to Kaiser Permanente members can also receive a flu shot for $25. However, the member must be present at the time the non-member requests the vaccine.
